“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 ESV)
“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.” (Thessalonians 3:16 ESV)
It has been a couple of stressful days for me. I couldn’t find peace anywhere. Peace eluded me. No matter what I did, I couldn’t find peace. I finally gave up and got busy working on crafts to take my mind off my problems. While I was working and keeping my mind busy concentrating on what I was doing, I found I was praying.
In Matthew 7:7 it says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” I didn’t ask for peace. If I had, God would have given it to me. There is no greater feeling than the peace you have when it comes from God. I finally asked and God sent his peace to me. It was extended through the whole day yesterday too. It was such a peaceful day yesterday.
I ask that you seek the peace that can only come from God. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will open. God is waiting for you to seek Him out and ask. Ask for what you need but also ask for peace. You can’t beat God’s peace.
