Dearly beloved and friends,happy new month;your joy shall be full and you will march forward in all areas of life in Jesus name.
Our loving God and Father, expects us to be long-suffering and to care much more for each other. Going the extra mile to make life easier for others, does not mean you are unwise, even if you are not appreciated for such deeds.
There are some people who are ingrates of the highest order: even if you put down your life for them , they will not show any appreciation. God said to us that we should not be weary in well doing.God is the ultimate rewarder:
- “But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.” (2 Thessalonians 3:13)
- “with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;” (Ephesians 4:2 KJV).
- “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2 KJV).
- “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;” (Romans 12:10 KJV).
Benefits of helping others:
- What you sow, you will reap
- It brings joy to others.
- It gives a sense of belonging
- It gives you a sense of purpose & fulfillment.
- It improves your godliness and care for others.
Examples:
- David: Went the extra miles,to help Jonathan’s son because of their friendship and the covenant between them (See 2 Samuel 2:21).
- Good Samaritan: Went all the way to pay medical bills of a stranger (See Luke 10:35).
- Jesus Christ: Went all the way to Calvary to die for you and me;while we were yet sinners (See John 3:16; Romans 5:8)
- YOU: Be generous and selfless,go the extra mile because of Jesus (See Matthew 25:35-36).
Prayer Points: In Jesus name:
- Father thank You for blessing me; please make me a channel of blessing today.
- Father, help me to be selfless, generous and compassionate to others around me.
- Father, please Lord give us extra grace to fulfill our destiny and affect lives positively.
