The Power of God’s Word…

by | May 24, 2021 | Promises, Truth, Word of God

“‘No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,’ declares the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17 NIV)

I remembered when my son, Thomas, was a child, I wasn’t able to get mad at him. Every time I would start to get angry, he wouldn’t try to defend himself. Instead, he would turn to me and tell me that I was the best cook in the whole wide world. He had always loved his food, and his words melted my heart. Even though I know that it wasn’t true, and even though I knew he was only saying that to butter me up, he always convinced me with his words.

Words are important, and God’s Word is always true. When I read God’s word in Isaiah 54:17, I can’t doubt that His promising word are valid for me. God offers His solution to us, the sinners. God is able to forgive us, and no one else can change His mind when His word speaks out. As it is written in Isaiah 55:11: “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (NIV)

Thank You, God, for Your word, “…a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Ps. 119:105 NIV)

Please let God’s words melt your heart and fill you with hope to help you when you face rejection by men for doing God’s ministry. Here are some a few of God’s Words to me that help me during my walk in faith in Christ Jesus:

1) “It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.” (Romans 9:16 NIV)

2) “…in order that God’s purpose in election might stand…” (Romans 9:11 NIV)

3) “We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” (Hebrews 6:12 NIV)

4) “Do everything in love.” (1 Corinthians 16:14 NIV)

5) “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV)

6) “For we live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV)

7) “But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.” (Romans 14:23 NIV)

8) “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” (Hebrews 6:10 NIV)

9) “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” (James 1:12 NIV)

10) “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.” (Revelation 2:10 NIV)

11) “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13 NIV)

12) “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” (2 Chronicles 15:7 NIV)

Please join me in lifting up our Golden bowl full of incense to our Heavenly Father: Heavenly Father, show me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long. Please, Holy Spirit help to remind me: “So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.'” ((Luke 17:10 NIV) That our Heavenly Father may, “…equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV). Thank God through Christ Jesus, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” (Rev. 5:13 NIV). Amen
