He makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire.
(Psalm 104:4 ESV)
I came to cast fire on the earth, and would that it were already kindled!
(Luke 12:49 ESV)
Yesterday at church God showed me something. I want to share it with you:
“The flood gates are opening.
But they aren’t normal flood gates.
They aren’t holding back water.
These gates are holding back fire.
My fire is tugging at your leg like a child wanting to be picked up.
Will you pick it up?
Will you take this fire and spread it and let it burn brightly?”
My question to you. Are you going to pick up this fire or will you back away from it?
God is sending fire to us. He is sending it to all who want it, to all who will spread it. Are you that person? Will you spread His Word to the lost and hungry? Will you share God’s love with all who don’t know how wonderful He is?
Something to think about. But don’t wait too long. The fire will pass you by if you don’t respond. Pick up that fire. Let it grow inside of you until you can no longer contain it and you have to spread it around.
