I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

(Philippians 4:13 ESV)

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

(2 Timothy 1:7 ESV)

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you need endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

(Hebrews 10:35-36 ESV)

According to Oxford Languages, confidence is, “the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust.” Another definition, “the state of feeling certain about the truth of something.”

We all need confidence. Confidence in people around us, in places we eat but especially in God. I trust people in my life. The close people in my life. I trust them with my life. But I trust God more. People will let you down. God won’t. God will always be with you when people come and go. People may be in your life for a season but God is there all your life.

According to Oxford Languages, trust is, “firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.”

I don’t know about you but for me, confidence and trust go hand in hand. Have you ever confided something to someone and trusted them not to share it with others? But what if they do? Your trust is broken and your confidence in them is gone. But you can tell God everything and He won’t tell anyone your secrets. But He will send someone to help you. He loves you so much.

So the next time you need to tell someone a secret, tell God. He is always listening.

Have a great day.
