Patience

by | Jul 12, 2022 | Patience, Trials, Waiting, Worship

“But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”

(Romans 8:25 ESV

“With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.”

(Ephesians 4:2 ESV)

Patience is a virtue. There are times I do not have a lot of patience. But God is working on me. He got me hooked on a new craft. It’s called Diamond Painting. It’s fun, it takes a long time to finish a picture and I am learning to take it slow. When I make something, I want to see progress right away. With this I don’t see it as quickly as I would like to. It usually takes me about a week to finish one. But it’s worth it.

I have some issues and God is working on me, resolving those issues. For example, I have tried all my life to lose weight. As of today I have lost 92 pounds. I was thinking about patience. What if God was impatient with us? I can just imagine Him drumming His fingers on the arm of His throne, wishing we would hurry up and figure it out. But He doesn’t, He gave us free will so our choices are just that, our choices. I imagine He does wish we would make better choices sometimes.

But the best decision a person can make is to serve God. To decide you want a life with God by your side. There is way to do just that. Give your life to Him, live for Him, serve Him.

“Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”

It’s really that easy to be saved. Now for the hard part. Serve God everyday. Just kidding. That’s not hard. It’s easy to serve God. And rewarding. So practice patience while serving God and things will fall into place soon.

Have a blessed day.
