“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
(Philippians 1:6 NLT)
“It is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.”
(Philippians 2:13 NIV)
I had a friend once who rehabbed houses. He said he would take it down to the bare bones and start over. God wants to do that with us. He wants to strip out the bad or unuseful parts and rebuild us in His image.
I know there are some unuseful things in me. But I’m working on them with God. I am letting Him strip me to the bare bones and rebuild me.
God has better plans than I do. I was looking at loan options a while back. I couldn’t get approved. God said, “Wait. It will be alright. I have a plan.” I like God’s plans better than mine anyway, so I stopped looking.
I found this on the internet yesterday and thought it was useful information:
“Let God Transform Your Life With 5 Simple Steps
Author Unknown
1. Make Prayer a Priority.
2. Read your Bible.
3. Spend time in fellowship with other believers.
4. Apply what you learn.
5. Share your faith story.”
I think these steps are important in having a relationship with God. Prayer is very important as is reading your Bible. But what about spending time with fellow believers? Do you think that is important? Fellow believers can build you up. They can offer encouragement. Do yes, it’s important.
What is your faith story? Mine is a promise God made me a few years ago. I am clinging to that promise, knowing it will come at the right time. God is an on time God. He won’t let you down. Take time to get to know Him. You won’t regret it.
Have a great day, everyone.
