“If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he can not deny himself.”
(2 Timothy 2:13 ESV)
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
(1 John 1:9 ESV)
Google defines faithfulness as “the quality of being faithful; fidelity.” Google also defines faithful as “remaining loyal and steadfast.” AI Overview says, “Faithfulness is a character trait that can be described as being loyal, constant, and steadfast in adherence to a person, thing, or promise. Faithful people are trustworthy, reliable, and dependable, and they inspire others to have faith in them. They are also true to their word, with consistency between what they say and do and between what they believe and how they behave.”
I have known people who would say they would do something and do it. But I have also known people who would say they will do something and not do it. Do you think God honors faithfulness? I think He does. I think He rewards people who are faithful. God wants faithful people. He wants us to obey His commands faithfully. God put His commands in place for a reason. If you want a refresher, pull out your Bible and start reading.
How do you know if you are faithful? It means you are dependable, trustworthy, and consistent. You stay the course. You keep plodding forward even during those seasons when you seem to get no encouragement, and it feels like nothing is going right. You keep the faith, though severely tried.
I have been going through a rough period. But I am trying my hardest to stay faithful. The devil pulls out all the stops, but I keep my eyes where they should be. On God. God is my Savior, provider, healer, and loving Heavenly Father. You can’t go wrong with God on your side.
Have a great day, everyone.
