“Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the poor and needy.“
(Proverbs 31:9 ESV)
If you plead the case or cause of someone or something, you speak out in their support or defense. This is what Jesus does for us before God. Have a problem? Take it before Jesus. Let Him take it before God and fight our case for us.
Jesus pleads our cases, and we don’t have to. He will go before God and defend us. Satan doesn’t stand a chance when Jesus is fighting for us. So why not have Jesus fight for us? But how do we let Jesus know what we need? Don’t you think He already knows? He is just waiting for us to give Him permission to fight for us. So when you are praying, give Him your list of problems and ask Him to fix them.
Jesus can stand toe to toe with satan and defeat him easily. Besides, we have already won. The devil just doesn’t want to admit he is defeated. So next time you have a problem, take it to Jesus and let Him take it before God.
