“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV)
“Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,”
(Ephesians 5:20 ESV)
“Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.”
(Psalm 136:26 ESV)
How often do you whine to God about your problems? Everyday? Several times a day? All day? Let’s turn our whining into gratitude. We need an attitude of gratitude. I am guilty, too. I need to turn my whining into praising.
I was on my way to church last night. I was listening to the radio. I can’t tell you the song because I don’t remember it. I don’t even remember hearing it before. Before I knew it, I was praising God. I was singing His praises. My mood lifted, and things seemed so much better.
It’s amazing what just a little praise will do to lift your spirits. God loves to hear our praise. So if you’re feeling down, life piling up on you or whatever, start praising God and thanking Him for the answers.
Thank you, God, for loving me enough to care about me. Thank you, God, for listening to me whine before I start praising You. Thank you, God, for everything.
Church was fantastic last night, and the drive home was just as good. Have a blessed day, everyone. And give God thanks even if it hasn’t materialized yet.
