“But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; you have poured over me fresh oil.”
(Psalm 92:10 ESV)
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”
(Luke 4:18 ESV)
We sang a song Sunday, “Fresh Oil From The Throne”:
“Fresh oil from the throne.
Fresh oil from the throne.
Anoint us today with fresh oil from the throne.
We need Your power,
In this last hour.
Anoint us today with fresh oil from the throne.”
I sang that all afternoon and evening. I fell asleep with it running through my mind. I felt so good. I was at peace.
According to google, “Anointing with oil is a biblical practice that has been carried out for centuries. It symbolizes God’s power, presence, healing, consecration, and hospitality. It is a way to show respect and love for others. Jesus Christ himself was anointed with oil multiple times in the New Testament.”
Anointing with oil, in my experience, breaks something. It breaks agreement with whatever. Whether you are sick, having family issues or whatever, being anointed with oil and prayed over breaks agreement with that issue.
My prayer is that God will anoint us all with fresh oil. We need God’s mercy and grace more than ever in these last days. I pray that we all receive mercy and grace and a fresh anointing from the throne.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
