“For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.” (1 Peter 2:21 ESV)
“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him.” (Colossians 2:6 ESV)
I have made a decision. No longer will there be no ifs, ands or buts in my walk with Jesus.
No longer will I say, “if I can”. I will say, “yes Lord. I can do it.”
No longer will I say, “and only if I can.” I will say, “I can do it because Jesus is helping me.”
No longer will I say, “but I can’t do that.” I will say, “yes Lord. I will do that with Your help.”
“Jesus stay beside me. Take my hand and walk me Lord. I can’t do this without you. Nor do I want to. You are my rock. You are my light in a dark world. Light my path and show me the way. Protect me from all evil that is out to bring me down. Jesus, I love You and need You every minute of every day. Take my hand and walk with me.”
That is my prayer. Jesus walk with me. I promise to try to do better. I’m not perfect and will mess up, but I promise to do my best. So please walk with me and keep me safe.
Jesus loves me. I know this as truth. Sometimes, ok a lot times, I mess up. But I repent and move on, knowing I have been forgiven. You can be too. Just tell Jesus you’re sorry and repent. He will forgive and forget your sins.
