“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
(Romans 8:38-39 ESV)
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
(Romans 5:8 ESV)
I read this on Facebook yesterday:
“It’s easy to spot a yellow car when you are always thinking of a yellow car.
(Author Unknown, repost from facebook)
It’s easy to spot opportunities when you are always thinking of opportunities.
It’s easy to spot reasons to be mad when you are always thinking of being mad.
You become what you are constantly thinking about. Watch yourself.”
We need to be careful where our thoughts go. We need to keep a leash on our minds so we don’t get distracted from what really matters. Jesus is what really matters. He died so we could live. Jesus should be our focus. He will never lead us astray.
The devil, on the other hand, is always looking for ways to distract us. He is always on the lookout for a crack in our armor so he can sneak in and cause chaos in our lives. So I want to encourage you today. Watch what you think about. Don’t let stray thoughts lead you astray.
Have a great day, everyone.
