“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
(Revelation 21:4 ESV)
“And he said to him, ‘Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.’”
(Luke 23:43 ESV)
It’s been a rough couple of days. Sleep has eluded me for the most part. In my sleep deprived haze last night, I got to thinking about home. Home. What a great thought. My home is in heaven. This is just a temporary place, but heaven is eternal.
What will heaven look like? What will my home look like? I think I would like a place with the dog I grew up with lying on the porch waiting for me to come home and maybe a couple of horses grazing nearby.
I look forward to the day I go home for good. Just think, ladies, no more housework! I want to believe there is no dust in heaven. But the best part is that I can stroll into the throne room and chat with God. I can discuss things with Him. I can ask Him questions. Oh, I know, I can do that now, but think of it. Face to face with God! Chatting with Him about whatever.
But another thing. I will be reunited with long gone family members. Maybe I can get to know my grandpa who passed away when I was little. Think about it. Eternity in paradise. No worries, no cares, no sickness. No aching body parts, no heart issues. That is worth it to me. So, if you don’t know Jesus, today is a good day to get to know our Savior.
Have a blessed, everyone.
