“Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; And to our God, for He will abundantly pardon ‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.’” (Isaiah 55:6-9 NKJ)
“Thus says the Lord who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it. ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'” (Jeremiah 33:2-3 NKJ)
Oh, how I long for a touch from heaven. To feel Jesus close.
How many times have you said that? Quite a few for me. But Jesus is always near. Jesus is right beside us at all times. If He feels far away, it’s because we have moved away, not Him. I have let the world in and cloud my thoughts. These are the times I feel far-away from Jesus. These are the times I need to reach out to Him. Jesus will never turn us away. He will welcome us with open arms.
I have had a touch from heaven several times. When I am feeling down, Jesus reaches out to me. He lifts me up and carries me until I am feeling better. Jesus lifts my spirits every time I feel low or depressed. Jesus is my comforter. He comforts me, protects me, and provides for me. Jesus is my Savior. With Jesus in my corner, what else do I need? And you know something? If He does it for me, He will do it for you.
So next time you need a touch from heaven, reach out to Jesus and let Him take care of you.
