“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.” (Isaiah 59:1-2 ESV)
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6 ESV)
I was talking to a friend yesterday, and she said it feels like people are disconnected. I feel it, too.
Families no longer gather at the table for a meal. They grab a plate and head back to the tv, video game, Circuit machine, or whatever. There are even disconnects in churches. People just don’t do things like they used to. People don’t go to church like they used to either. Excuses, excuses. Excuses abound why they can’t go to church. I will admit it, I have made excuses to stay home too.
I will tell you right now that the devil is dancing with joy because there are so many disconnects with people. This is the work of the devil. And we are letting him get away with it.
He is trying hard to get as many people as he can away from God. If he can get us out of church or cause strife in church, then he’s won. That is not acceptable. We need to get back to where we are connected again. Where we check on people because they were on our hearts. To where we pray for others just because we feel a need.
Let’s start right now. Study your Bible more, pray more, pray in tongues more. That’s a good start. Ask God to show you who to pray for and how to pray for them. He will show you how to pray for people. I make the decision right now to become connected again. I decide to make a difference. How about you? Ready to reconnect?
