“Our world today so desperately hungers for hope. Yet uncounted people have almost given up. There is despair and hopelessness on every hand. Let us be faithful in proclaiming the hope that is in Jesus.” -Billy Graham.
The words of Billy Graham are like a warm embrace, reminding us of the goodness and love that exist in the world.
Placing our hope in Jesus is like a warm embrace that lifts the spirits of those who are feeling down. It shines like a ray of sunshine, illuminating the path toward a brighter tomorrow.
In one of the darkest of moments, when hope was fading and death was near, our loving Saviour heard the plea of a lost soul and extended His boundless mercy. In that beautiful moment of truth, the repentant thief hanging on the cross next to Him surrendered his life of sin to hope.
With a heart full of remorse, the dying thief humbly acknowledged his wrongdoing, saying, “’We are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man (Christ) has done nothing wrong.’ And he said, ‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ Jesus responded, ‘Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.’” (Luke 23:41–43 ESV)
What an amazing story of a sinner who found God’s love despite being an outcast for most of his life!
God’s love and grace are truly remarkable. His grace is like a warm embrace that we don’t deserve, but He gives it to us anyway. It’s a beautiful reminder that, no matter what we do, God’s love for us never fades. What a beautiful realization it is when one understands their own unworthiness in the eyes of God, for it is then that one can deeply appreciate the gift of grace that has been bestowed upon them.
“Grace” means undeserved kindness. It is the gift of God to man the moment he sees he is unworthy of God’s favor.” Dwight L. Moody.
Ah, Dwight L. Moody – What a wonderful quote.
His last words were full of hope! “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” (Luke 23:42 NIV).
What a beautiful verse! It reminds us that even in our darkest moments, we can turn to God and find comfort and hope. Let’s hold onto His Conversion was a beautiful testimony that touched the hearts of all who heard it. There’s something truly special about hope. It’s a beacon of light that shines through even the darkest of times. It’s a constant reminder that no matter what happens, there’s always a chance for things to get better. And that makes hope so powerful—it never wavers, fades, or gives up.
Prayer: The Apostle Paul’s prayer for his beloved Ephesians is my prayer for you today. “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.” (Ephesians 1:17–18 NIV)
