“But finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus.”

(Luke 5:19 ESV)

“Keep listening, Job. Don’t interrupt – I’m not finished yet.”

(Job 33:31 MSG)

Have you ever been praying and God interrupted you? It’s kind of rude, isn’t it?

But what if it was important? What if He had someone who needed immediate prayer? Changes your attitude pretty quickly.

I don’t mind when God interrupts me. I do when random thoughts interrupt my prayer time. Those kinds of thoughts are not from God. I have found myself telling the devil to take a hike that I don’t have time for him. Then things clear up, and I go back to my praying until it happens again.

You see, the devil will do everything he can to distract you from God. I try not to let him get the upper hand, but sometimes it’s hard. When I have a problem or am extremely tired, then the devil can distract me for a minute. But only a minute or two. The devil isn’t worth my time or effort. I have better things to do.

I wonder if God gets frustrated when He gets interrupted? Does He get interrupted? I mean, He is God, after all.

The next time you get interrupted, stop before you get frustrated. Think about what God would do.

Have a great day, everyone.
