“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
(Psalm 16:11 ESV)
“And he said, ‘My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’”
(Exodus 33:14 ESV)
We sing a song called, In The Presence of Jehovah:
“In the presence of Jehovah.
(In the Presence of Jehovah by Becky Davis)
God Almighty, Prince of peace.
Troubles vanish, and hearts are mended.
In the presence of the King.”
In the presence of the King is a wonderful place to be, especially if things are not going the best for you. Being in the presence of God is such a peaceful place. Like the song says, troubles vanish and hearts are mended.
When I have had an especially trying day, I seek God’s face. I long to be in the presence of God where all I feel is peace. God is peace and love. I know, I sound like an ad for the 60s. The hippies pushed peace and love. God doesn’t have to push it, He hands it out freely to anyone who wants it. I can feel Him here now with me as I write this. He is encouraging me to keep going. I still have a race to run. I still have sheep to feed for Him.
There have been times when I wanted to give up. I tell God there isn’t anything else to write on. He tells me to open my Bible and read. Then I find the topic He wants me to write on. God has a way of getting His point across. The point He is trying to beat into my head right now is to not worry about the small stuff. He has it handled. And He does. And when I realize that, then the peace comes and settles over me like a warm blanket.
So let the peace and love of God settle over you. Spend some time in the presence of the King.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
