“Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9 ESV)
“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 ESV)
I have heard the phrase living on edge a lot. But what does it mean? Living on the edge of what?
I think of the edge as being a cliff. Fall off the edge, and you could get hurt or even killed. There’s also the edge of financial problems. I can imagine many years back, especially during the great depression when there just wasn’t enough money to pay for everything. I can see that happening now. Especially with the senior population. We’re living on a fixed income, and prices keep going up, but our paycheck doesn’t.
But we don’t have to live on the edge. It’s our bad decisions that put us there. Ask me. I have made some pretty bad decisions in my life.
But the best decision I made was when I gave my life to Jesus. Have you given your life to Jesus? It’s “a good day for it”!
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. In Jesus’ name, amen”
Why risk a life in hell when you can live in heaven for eternity? Let’s stop living on the edge and live in the fullness of our Lord and Savior?
Have a blessed day, everyone.
