Peace in the Middle of the Storm

by | Jun 6, 2023 | Calmness, Peace, Storms

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 ESV)

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape that you may be able to endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV)

There are so many people going through a storm right now. The devil is mad and taking it out on everyone. He is mad and knows his time is short. He knows Jesus is coming back soon, and he is trying to cause as many problems as he possibly can. I will not say I haven’t been attacked because I have been. Still am. But I am standing strong on the promise of God. He made me a promise, and I am standing on it until it manifests.

God is not a liar or a thief. The devil is. The devil will tell you a lie and then steal everything he can from you. He doesn’t care. He wants you nervous, fearful, and anxious. But God doesn’t want us that way. God wants us happy and content.

How can we be happy and content in this world? This world has gone crazy. Soaring prices, plummeting pay checks, and discontent everywhere. It’s hard to be happy. As I sit here writing this, I am smiling. Yes, I am in the eye of the storm. The storm rages around me, but I am calm. God has my back. He won’t let me go under. He won’t let me drown in a sea of fear or anxiety. He will take my hand and lead me across the water, through the raging storm to the calmness of the shore.

Let God guide you through your storm. Let Him take your hand and walk you through it to the calmness you will find only in Him.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
