“Where there is no guidance, a people fall, but in an abundance of counselors, there is safety.” (Proverbs 11:14 ESV)
“And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21 ESV)
The title reminds me of the old TV shows before the censors allowed the word pregnant. I remember the expectant mom telling her husband, “it’s time!”
But there’s another meaning to that phrase, too. It’s time to make a decision. It’s time to decide whose team you are on, God’s or the devil. You can’t be on both.
God doesn’t promise you a life of sunshine and roses with no worries or troubles. But He does promise an eternity of peace and contentment. On the other hand, the devil will promise you sunshine and roses, but if you fall for his promises, you will end up for eternity in torture and hell fires. Your choice, I won’t condemn you if you choose the sunshine and roses, but I will try my hardest to talk you out of the devils promises. The devil does not want us in heaven. He thought he could take over heaven.
Spoiler alert…he loses. I’ve read the back of the book and the saved win. By that, I mean those who have given their lives to God and are doing their very best to serve Him. Oh, I know. We are only human, and we mess up from time to time. God already built an escape route for us. When we mess up, and we will, God already had a plan of escape. Repent, for one. Ask for His forgiveness. He will forgive and forget if we ask Him, too.
So the next time you are going through a rough patch, thank God for His escape plan.
Have a great day, everyone.
