“I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery, they deceive the hearts of the naive.” (Romans 16:17-18 ESV)
Have you ever been around a fire that had so much smoke you couldn’t see in front of you? The devil likes to put up a smoke screen to block you from walking in what God has for you. He wants us to be so lost that we will never find our way back. The devil will throw up roadblocks to try to stop our progress. You see, he knows what God has for us, and he doesn’t want us to have the fullness of God.
But God can clear away the smoke, He can knock down the roadblocks. He can clear away the cobwebs that are holding us captive. He can release us from the bondage that the devil has put us in. All we have to do is ask God for help. Just ask. He won’t refuse, and if you think He has, it’s another smoke screen from the devil.
God wants us free from bondage. He wants us to walk in freedom, health, and prosperity. He wants us to depend on Him. So if you feel like there’s a smoke screen blocking your path, call on God. Ask Him to clear the path for you. And while you’re at it, ask Him to walk with you. Just ask. Put your petitions before the throne and then walk away from them. God will pick them up and fix them.
So give it all to God today, and have a blessed day, everyone.
