“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 18:10 ESV)
Hold that baby close. They grow up so quickly. Then they won’t want to be held by you. Children are a blessing from God. If He didn’t think you could handle being a parent, you wouldn’t be having that baby.
I always wanted kids. But God needed me to help others with their kids instead. So I never had the blessing of being pregnant. I always wondered how it would feel to have a baby growing inside of me. To feel it kick for the first time…
Parents, love your children no matter how crazy they act. Hug them close and repeatedly tell them you love them.
I love it when little ones come and give me a hug. It has a healing effect. That’s how Jesus is. He walks among us, loving on us. Jesus loves us. He loves every single one of us. Jesus cries when a baby dies. Every time a baby is stillborn, every baby that is aborted, Jesus carries that tiny soul to heaven. Jesus cries. He loves us so much that when we do stupid, He cries for us.
So parents, love your children, whether you have one or a dozen, or if your pregnant for the 1st time. Love your kids. Show them agape love. Show them the love that Jesus has for each of us. Parents, love your children. Let them know you love them.
I see the young parents at church, their child wants picked up. And they do. They pick that child up and love radiates from both child and parent. Be that kind of parent.
