Are You Ashamed of Jesus?

by | Apr 26, 2023 | Courage, Salvation, Witnessing

“For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

(Mark 8:38 ESV)

“So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.”

(Matthew 10:32-33 ESV)

I was watching a movie yesterday. Men were discussing Jesus. They were afraid people were becoming ashamed to admit they loved Jesus. Are you ashamed to admit you love Jesus? I’m not. I will shout it on the rooftops…I LOVE JESUS!!!! There! That’s my proclamation. Is it yours?

Do you go around in the shadows, hoping no one asks you about Jesus? Well, shame on you if you do. Jesus doesn’t do that to you. You are the apple of His eye. He loves everyone of us, no matter what you have done. It doesn’t matter what you may have done, what illness you profess to have, how bad things are in your life or whatever. Jesus loves you unconditionally. He has always loved you, even before you were born, Jesus loved you. Always has, always will.

Have you given your life to Jesus? If not, do it today. Here’s a prayer for you: “Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. In Jesus name, amen.”

If you read this prayer, and meant it, welcome to the family of Christ. You are among good company. I encourage you today to read your Bible every day. Talk to Jesus daily. Tell Him your thoughts, desires and needs.

Have a great day everyone. God loves you and so do I.
