“Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
(1 Peter 5:7 ESV)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
I have times of doubt and uncertainty in my life. The devil tries to tell me lies. I am getting new flooring in my bedroom and livingroom. There are places that had been patched before I moved in. Over the almost 15 years I have lived here, the carpet has become a tripping hazard for me. So housing is putting in laminate flooring. The devil tried to tell me there will be a service charge to get it done. I refused that. Now he has been trying to tell me I won’t be able to get the furniture moved in time. That had me concerned. But I have people who are going to help so wrong again satan.
But that’s what he does. He whispers in your ear. “You’re not good enough.” Or “You can’t get that, you don’t have enough money.” Or, an oldie but goodie. “No one really likes you, they just tolerate you.” He really liked to tell me that one. He still tries to occasionally. Whatever lie he tries to tell you, think it through. Tell him to go away because it’s not true.
Satan loves to plant lies in our mind. If you really think about it, the lie takes hold and you begin to believe it. Then satan has a way in. When he sends his demons, he doesn’t just send one. He sends a bunch of them. The best way to keep them out is to not let them in. Stand your ground, call on Jesus for help. Remember, Jesus is just cry away. Cry out to Jesus for help. Let Him fight your battle for you.
So whenever doubt and uncertainty tries to take a foothold, cry out to Jesus. Ask Him to help you. He will, all you have to do is ask.
Have a blessed day everyone.
