Lord I Need You

by | Mar 19, 2023 | Depression, Helpless, Provision

Jesus died on the cross, that we all know. But do you know that the blood Jesus shed on that cross is powerful?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV)

“So we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?’” (Hebrews 13:6 ESV)

I have never needed anyone as much as I need God. God is my savior, provider, healer and He fights my battles. God takes care of me in all situations.

There’s a song called Lord I Need You sung by Matt Maher:

“Lord, I need You, oh, I need You.
Every hour, I need You.
My one defense, my righteousness,
Oh God, how I need You.”

(Lord I Need You by Matt Maher)

God is my everything. As the song says, “every hour I need you.” I need God in my life more than ever. Times are rough. If it wasn’t for God taking care of His children, it’s hard telling where we would be. I don’t think they have poor houses anymore or else they would probably be full.

I don’t even listen to the news anymore. It’s very depressing to hear how many people were shot or stabbed. Or how gangs are running wild. Or companies upping prices because they can get by with it. I can say without a doubt, it won’t be long before Jesus comes back. And I personally, will welcome Him with open arms.

But God is our defense. He will fight for us but we need to be wise to what’s going on. We need to have our discernment working overtime to know what’s going on. So I tell you today, listen to your gut and not the news channels. Get your discernment tuned up so you know what’s true and what’s not.

Lord, we need you. Every hour, every day, we need you. Protect us oh Lord and keep your hand on us.

Have a blessed day everyone.
