“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”
(John 8:12 ESV)
“I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.“
(John 12:46 ESV)
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
(Matthew 5:16 ESV)
Have you ever felt like you were walking through a deep, dark tunnel and you couldn’t see a way out? I have been there, recently in fact. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Jesus is there shining a light so you can find your way out safely.
But did you know that you are also a light. You are a light to shine the way for the lost. You shine so they can see the way to the truth. Jesus came so that we may have life. He is a beacon in the darkness so we can find our way.
When the power goes out my apartment gets really dark, especially at night. But I have a small lantern. It will light up the room so I can see. You would be amazed at how much light that little lantern puts out. That is how Jesus is. He is a bright light in a dark world.
Hold on a little longer. Brighter days are just around the corner. Give Jesus a chance to light up your life. Be a beacon to the lost. Show them the way to Jesus. He is waiting for them and you.
Have a blessed day everyone.
