“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
(Romans 12:2 ESV )
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.“
(Matthew 6:34 ESV )
My mom used to say after a stressful day, or week, “This life and one more then I quit.” My mom did not believe in reincarnation. She was a Christian.
Me, this life is enough. When this life is over, you will find me in heaven. I will be on my front porch on the swing, with a big glass of iced tea in my hand and my dog at my feet. I look forward to those day s. Eternity in heaven with Jesus. Just imagine, no more pain, sorrow or sadness. Reunited with those gone before us. But while I am still here, I will try to not worry or stress over things. That only makes my blood pressure shoot up.
Jesus has made a way for us. He basically has paved the path for us so we can spend eternity with Him in heaven. Can you imagine sitting on the porch chatting with Jesus? I would love it.
Are you ready for eternity? It’s not hard. You don’t have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get saved. Just say this prayer:
“Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do Your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
See? Easy. Now start living your life for Jesus. Someone told me once to live my life as if it was the last day. I believe I would spend time with friends and family, making sure they knew I loved them. Then spend time in prayer.
What would you do?
Have a blessed day everyone.
