“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,”
(Acts 3:19 ESV)
“From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’”
(Matthew 4:17 ESV)
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
(2 Peter 3:9 ESV)
According to google, repent means, “Feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one’s wrongdoing or sin.”
Do you feel bad when you sin? Do you even know you are sinning? Do you repent or ask forgiveness from God? Everyone sins but not everyone will repent when then do. Someone once told me that they will repent later in life. In other words, after they have their fun. This person, don’t ask me who because it was a long time ago and I don’t remember, told me that when they are too old to have fun anymore, then they will repent. I have lost track of this person so I don’t know if they ever repented or if they even reached old age.
Wouldn’t it be a shame if you had the same attitude? And wouldn’t it be a shame if you didn’t make it to old age and never repented or gave your life to Jesus? You know, today’s a good day to ask forgiveness for your sins. Just say God, I’m sorry. Please forgive me. You don’t have to list every sin one by one. How can you remember them all anyway? Besides, God already knows what you did.
Once you repent, God washes all your sins away. Will you sin again? Of course. We are only human. But keep asking forgiveness and God will keep forgiving you. So if you have unforgiven sin, repent. Ask God for forgiveness. Let Him wash away your sins.
Have a blessed day everyone.
