Here lately I have become dull. My prayer to God is to give me eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to love. My desire is to be able to hear what God tells me every time, not just occasionally. I want eyes to see the things ahead and a heart full of love and compassion for others.
We all are in need of these things. We are all children of God. We need to hear His voice. We need to be able to see the things ahead. But most of all we need a heart to love. We need to love others as we love ourselves. I know some people make it hard but we need to overcome that.
I have a neighbor who makes it very hard to love him. But I am trying. After seeing how his dad treated him, I kind of understand why he is how he is. He is not an easy person to love. But I am trying. He can be totally irritating and then turn around and do something nice.
But my greatest desire is a closer walk with God. I want Him to be the center of my life. I want to hear Him clearly and know that I know it’s Him. I want eyes to see the things I need to see. I want visions and dreams. But most of all a heart to love the unlovable people. I want to spread the word far and near about my God and that He loves everyone. I want the world to know how wonderful my God is.
Find someone who needs a little love shown to them. It might even brighten your day.
