“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
(Genesis 28:15 ESV)
“For nothing will be impossible with God.”
(Luke 1:37 ESV)
Have you ever said that? I have a few times when I was young and dumb. Not always a good idea. It is good though, when God says it. Because, as you know, nothing is impossible with God. He has proven that over and over to me. He has provided in ways I never thought possible. God has ways of taking care of us that we may never see. God goes before us and clears the way for us. He fights battles that we never see. Why? Because He can. And will if we are willing to let Him. But that’s the key. We have to be willing to let Him.
All God wants, like any parent, is His children’s obedience. Can you do that much for your Heavenly Father? Just think of all the things he has ever done for you. Can’t think of anything? Are you still breathing? That’s one. How about more? Count your blessings. As the song says, “Count your blessings, name them one by one. Count your many blessings and see what God has done.” I could sit here all day and count my blessings. First off, I am still alive. I have friends and family who love me. I have a roof over my head, food to eat, a car. I have money to pay my bills and sometimes a little left over. I have a fabulous church family too.
God has been so good to me. How about you? It’s time to return to the one true Father who loves us all regardless. It’s time to become the obedient child He wants us to be.
Have a blessed day and remember God is there fighting for you because He can.
