Childlike Faith

by | Jan 6, 2023 | Faith

“And said, ‘Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.‘”

(Matthew 18:3 ESV)

“Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

(Luke 18:17 ESV)

“He said to them, ‘Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.'”

(Matthew 17:20 ESV)

I was watching a movie yesterday. There was a little girl who had strong faith in God. It made me start to question my faith. I have not been feeling well for almost 2 months now. I have questioned why I haven’t been healed. Then I questioned my faith. Where is my faith? Is it strong or weak. I truly believe that it is pretty weak right now. And that is because I have been focusing on not feeling good and not on my walk with God.

God is my source and my supply. God heals me when I’m sick. But I have to believe and my attention has not been where it is supposed to be. God wants my full attention. He wants me focused on Him and not the world. So if I am focused on the world, that means I am not focused on Him.

I know that God hears my prayers. I know that if I only have a mustard seed size faith, God can work with it. But I want the childlike faith. I want the kind of faith that I had as a child. I want to believe my Father is going to take care of my every need. I want to have the kind of faith that moves mountains. I want a 50 gallon drum of mustard seed faith. I want to move mountains.

God loves us and no matter where we stand in faith, He can meet us there and work a miracle. I want that miracle. So lets get our faith in place and believe that God is going to fix everything for us. Let’s get back our childhood faith and put it to work.

Have a blessed day everyone.
