“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5 ESV)“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.” (Psalm 37:4-6 ESV)
Have you ever trusted someone to do something and they didn’t? Kind of breaks your trust in that person at least for a little while.
Have you ever trusted God for something and it never happened? Did that break your trust in God? I hope not. Maybe God’s answer to it was no. Or not now. I have had that happen before. I trusted God for something and it never happened. But a little ways down the road, because I never lost my faith and trust, I got even better than what I asked for.
One thing about God. He is all for our best interests. We may have our heart set on something but it doesn’t happen. Maybe God is sending something better if we are just patient and wait a bit. Maybe God is trying to teach us a lesson in trust. Or patience. We could all use some patience in our lives.
If we would just learn to put our trust in God, things will work out. It may take a while, but all things are in His timing, not ours. So practice trust. Let’s see how far we can trust God for what we need. I have been waiting several years for a different and better car. God has one coming. I just need to keep trusting Him for it. So keep trusting God and let Him figure it out for you.
Have a blessed day.
