“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1 ESV)
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7 ESV)
“Run Devil Run” is the name of a song by David Crowder. To find and listen to it, click here! Here are some of the lyrics:
“I got the King of kings and the Lords of Hosts.
(Run Devil Rn by David Crowder)
I got angel armies and the Holy Ghost.
I got spirit filled, baptized by fire.
I got a valley of bones, that came alive.
I got a cross, a hill, and an empty grave.
I got a trumpet sound and one sweet name.
Shake the gates of hell it’s finished and done.
I got my Jesus and the devil gotta run.”
That’s not all of it but that’s the part I like best. I am not ashamed to say it. I am Spirit filled, baptized by fire, I have the powerful blood and the sweet name of Jesus.
“I got somethin’ make the devil gonna run.
I got somethin’ make the devil be gone.” (Run Devil Rn by David Crowder)
I got Jesus on my side. All I need to do is call on Him and He will come help me fight the devil.
The devil fights dirty. I was reading my Bible yesterday morning and a random thought popped into my head. I wondered if a friend of mine slept in pajamas or a night gown. None of my business and besides, I hadn’t thought of that person in a long time. I took authority over it and it finally left. I resisted the devil and he finally left. He doesn’t like it when I read the Bible.
I’m not so easily distracted when I am deep in my Bible. It’s not so easy to distract me. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t keep trying. It doesn’t matter what you are going through or what’s going on in your life, Jesus is there for you. Use His name, plead the blood over you. The devil has to flee. He may keep trying but you stay strong and stand on the word. He will have to leave.
Have a great day everyone.
