“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV)
“Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ…” (Ephesians 5:20 ESV)
Today is Thanksgiving day. What a great time to reflect on the things going on in your life.
God has been so good to me. He has kept me safe, provided for my needs and loves me. He loves me. That is more important to me than anything else.
I heard a song yesterday called “Then Christ Came” by MercyMe:
“Then Christ came. Then Christ Came by MercyMe
He took my sin and shame away.
Now every song
I sing will be for Him.
Ever since the moment He walked in.
Then Christ came.”
Jesus came searching for me. He changed me into the person I am today. Jesus loves me and I love Him. Jesus is searching for you too. Are you seeking Him? Accept Him into your heart and your life will be forever changed.
“Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
Jesus will fight for you. He loves you unconditionally.
So today, before you eat, give thanks for your food. Give thanks that Jesus loves you so much He seeks you out. And while you’re loosening your belt, think about the love Jesus has for you. He loves all of us unconditionally. To me that is amazing.
Happy Thanksgiving. Have a great day.
