Jesus Is Calling

by | Nov 10, 2022 | Salvation

“For many are called, but few are chosen.”

(Matthew 22:14 ESV)

And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’”

(Mark 16:15 ESV)

Jesus is calling you. Do you hear him? Will you take His call? Or will you ignore Him?

I heard the song, Rise Up, by Cain on my way to church last night. I’ve heard it many times but the chorus really got me:

“Come on and rise up, take a breath, you’re alive now.
Can’t you hear the voice of Jesus calling us,
Out from the grave like Lazarus.
You’re brand new, the power of death couldn’t hold you.
Can’t you hear the voice of Jesus calling us
Out from the grave like Lazarus.
Come on and rise up
Out from the grave like Lazarus.”

(Rise Up by Cain)

My friends, it’s time to rise up and take our place. We need to be sending the word of salvation around the world. It’s time for us to grow up and start doing the work God has called us to do.

I have finally found what I am supposed to be doing. I am spreading His word daily with these devotionals. Never would I have thought God would ask me to write and share the  things that I have. As of Monday, I have written 960 of these. That’s a total of 32 months. But it’s those personal ones that I get the most feedback on. They seem to strike a chord with people.

So what are you called to do? Are you called to preach? Lead praise and worship? Youth group? Missionary work? Figure it out and do it. We are all needed parts of the body. When one slacks off, it affects all of us. We need to be listening to what Jesus is saying. We need to listen for instructions for our lives. So I want to encourage you today to listen for the voice of Jesus calling for you. And answer His call. It’s important to fulfill God’s plan for you.

Jesus is calling you today. Are you listening?

Have a great day everyone.
