Don’t Stay Mad

by | Sep 3, 2022 | Anger, Forgiveness

“Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.”

(Proverbs 14:29 ESV)

“Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.”

(Psalm 37:8 ESV)

“A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”

(Proverbs 15:1 ESV)

Mad much? It seems like a lot of the world is angry about something. Turn the news on and it’s full of this group is mad at that group. That’s why I don’t watch the news.

I have heard of a lot of families that are angry with each other. I tell everyone right now, THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!!

Parents, before you yell at your kids, kids before you back talk your parents, stop. Think about it. Don’t say something in the heat of the moment that you will regret later. Words have power. Words can cut a person deeper than a knife.

My mom, no matter how mad she may have been at me, or my brothers, she always told us she loved us. We never went bed angry at each other. So I want to encourage everyone, don’t stay mad. Tell the people you love that you love them.

If you have caused someone to be mad at you, talk to them. By talking it out you may be able to work it out and not be mad at them anymore. So let go of anger. It’s of the devil anyway and not welcome in my life anymore. Oh, I know, I still get angry at times. But I take a stand against it and apologize to whoever I may mad at. Then I repent.

So let go of anger. It just brings its friend hurt feelings along for the ride. No one needs that pair.

Have a blessed day everyone.
