Strength in the Lord

by | Jul 11, 2022 | Strength

“The Lord is King! He is robed in majesty. Indeed, the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.”

(Psalm 93:1 NLT)

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.”

(Ephesians 6:10 ESV)

I pulled out my Bible yesterday morning to read. I read Psalm 91 every morning, in addition to my regular reading. I moved my bookmark and my eyes caught Psalm 93:1. I don’t know why, but I read that verse several times and a peace settled over me. “The Lord is King!” That should be enough right there. But it goes on to say, “…the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength.”

The Lord is armed with strength. God can defeat any foe we have with just one word. He can take on a whole army of demons and defeat everyone of them. But will we let Him? We’re used to our demons. They seem like old friends. But we don’t need them. They just cause chaos and destruction.

The last part of that verse says, “The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.” Think about that. With all the things going on in our world, God causes it to stand firm and not be shaken. Prices are going up. Paychecks, especially for social security recipients, have not gone up to match the cost of living. Some have to choose between eating, putting gas in the car, getting needed medicine and paying bills. Thankfully, I have a Father who supplies all my needs. He has a group of “angels” here on earth that help me out when I need it. And I don’t have to ask anyone, He tells them.

God has a plan for all of us. He knew what we would need before we were even born. Are you living the life God wants you to? If not, you might want to ask God what He wants you to be doing, and then do it. t took me awhile to figure it out. But now I am doing what he wants me to and that is spreading the word about Him.

Have a blessed day everyone.
