“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?”

(Psalm‬ ‭22:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬).

Dearly beloved and friends,if indeed you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you will have to pass through your own lonely road of life at some points. It is inescapable and an integral part of the ingredients of the your journey on earth. As such moments, everyone else forsakes you and leaves you to sort yourself out in the process. Jesus did, so must you (See Isaiah 53:3).

Going through the lonely road is not as difficult as the attitude we exhibit during that process. It is often said “Tough times never last, but tough people do”.God is ever present with you.

God’s perspectives at your lonely route:

  • “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” (Isaiah‬ ‭43:2‬ KJV).
  • Isaiah 49:14-16….You are His special favorite.
  • Psalm 23:4-5…He watches and guides you.
  • Exodus 14:14….He takes over your battles.

Examples: On lonely roads & God’s intervention:

  1. Joseph: Victim of sibling rivalry (See Genesis 37:4). God elevated him from prison to the palace.
  2. Jabez: Cursed by his mother (See 2 Chro.4:9-10). He called on God and was lifted up.
  3. Job: Fell from grace to grass (See Job 1:11-12). God restored double his material losses.
  4. Jesus: Rejected and alone (See John 1:11). He rose up triumphant after death. Hallelujah.
  5. YOU: Rejected, maligned/deserted? (See Ps.27:3). God is opening new doors for you. Rejoice.

What to do:

  1. Never give up, lift up your eyes to the Lord.
  2. Rejoice in tribulation: Joy cometh!
  3. Praise God, while it lasts: Laughter comes.
  4. Tough times make you strong. Victory comes.
  5. You testimony will help someone. Praise God.

Prayer Points: In Jesus name.

  1. Father thank You for hearing my cry.
  2. Father, let me come out stronger, and joyous.
  3. Father, let me never deny You,in trials.
  4. Father, thank You for the Open doors.
  5. Father, let me be highly lifted and favored.
