Traps

by | Mar 30, 2022 | Deliverance, Temptation

“My eyes are always on the LORD, for he rescues me from the traps of my enemies.”

(Psalm 25:15 NLT)

“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

(1 Peter 5:8 ESV)

Google defines traps as, “A situation in which people lie in wait to make a surprise attack.” This is exactly what satan does. He will wait and watch until you drop your guard and then attack hard. I have found that the closer I am walking with God, or the more I am doing for God, the stronger the attack. Since I have started doing these everyday, he has been attacking me harder. But I haven’t stopped, nor will I until God says I can. I have asked God several times if I should stop. The answer has always been, “No, not yet. Keep feeding my children.”

Satan tries to derail me daily. It seems like I am walking through quicksand and sinking fast. But I keep going because God told me to. There are times I think the devotional I had just written was way off base. Those are the ones I get the most positive feedback from. So no matter what satan tries to trap you with, keep going. Don’t let a few aches and pains keep you from church. That’s a trap of the devil. Don’t let him derail your walk with Just remember what it says in 1 Peter, “the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Don’t let it be you. Keep your guard up. Keep praying and praising, the devil doesn’t like that.

Have a blessed day. Hope to see you in church.
