“We endeavored the more eagerly, and with great desire, to see you face to face; because we wanted to come to you but satan hindered us.” (1 Thessalonians 2:17-18 NKJ)
“False Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.” (Matthew 24:24 NKJ)
During church yesterday the word strategy was said. It stuck in my mind.
We all know the devil is out to try to get us. I was researching strategies of the devil and found a list. Here it is:
- He is the father of lies.
- He blinds the minds of unbelievers.
- He masquerades in costumes of light and righteousness.
- Does signs and wonders.
- Tempts people to sin.
- Plucks the word of God out of people’s hearts and chokes faith.
- Causes some sickness and disease.
- Is a murderer.
- Fights against plans of missionaries.
- Accuses Christians before God.
Satan is a supernatural enemy that is out to destroy our faith anyway he can. Our job is to not let him. I know that can be hard. But if we can keep our faith strong and stay focused on God, it will be easier.
God knows what the devil is doing and He provides a way out for us. We just have to keep our eyes on the Lord and listen for Him speaking to us. He will tell us the way to go.
It’s getting close to the end. False prophets will rise up and try to lead you away. You need discernment to know real from false. I encourage you today to get closer to God. That’s the only way you will know false from true. Remember, satan can do signs and wonders too. He will try to make you believe it’s really from God, when it’s really a lie from the pit of hell. If you aren’t saved, do it today. Ask forgiveness then ask Jesus into your heart.
