Failure Is Not an Option

by | Oct 27, 2021 | Success

“My flesh and heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:26 NKJ)

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13 NKJ)

I will be the first to admit…I am not perfect! I know, shocking. My brother once told me there is only one perfect person and he is in heaven. I will also admit I have failed a few times over the course of my life. We all do so, don’t sit there thinking “not me.” I have failed in a lot of things. Even in my walk with God. I have failed so many times.

But the good thing is, I can repent and start again. God won’t hold it against me for failing. He welcomes us back with open arms.

What is failure? According to google, yes I am still using google, failure is, “lack of success.”

But what is success? Google defines success as, “The accomplishment of an aim or purpose.”

How do you know if you have failed? Did you achieve your intended goal or purpose? Then you might have failed, unless it is a long term goal. Let’s look at some examples in the Bible:

Did Noah fail when God told him to build an ark? No. It took him awhile to build it but he succeeded and kept his family and animals alive.

What about Joseph? You know the guy with the colorful coat, whose brothers didn’t really like him? He was sold as a slave but ended up saving his family in addition to many others when the famine hit. Did he fail?

The thing about failure is it’s going to happen. It’s how you handle it that matters. You need to pick yourself up and start again. I saw this online last night. “Every failure is a step to success.”

Have a great day everyone.
