“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9 ESV)
I saw this on Facebook yesterday evening. Oh, don’t start, you all spend time on it too.
“Not everybody that dies goes to heaven. Mama may pray for you, but Mama can’t put you in heaven. You may join a church, but just being a church member can’t get you put in heaven. A preacher may preach at your funeral, but a preacher can’t put you in heaven. There ain’t but one way to get in, repent of your sin, believe on Jesus, ask Him into your heart to save you, live for Him and die clinging to Him in faith, knowing He has you in His hands.”
So all of you who think someone else will pray for you and God will let me in because of them. Well, let me burst that little bubble. It doesn’t work that way. I don’t care if you’re the best person around, you are not better than the next person. God will not let you in just because you gave money to a homeless person or was kind to someone. You have to repent, tell God you’re sorry, ask Him to forgive you. Then invite Him into your heart. But most of all, believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead three days later.
It’s really that easy. No 100 question test, no blood work, nothing. Just repent, ask Him into your heart and believe.
Think about it. But not too long. Jesus is coming back very soon and you need to be ready. You think this weather is hot? Hell is hotter, with no relief for all eternity. And torture on top of the heat.
