“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:20 ESV)
It’s been a cloudy for a few days. Not much sunshine at all. I like the sun better.
I have been sitting here thinking though. We always have the Sonshine. And yes, I spelled it right. Jesus is the light of my life. He brightens my day every day. Jesus brings hope, happiness and love. And all with no condemnation, no guilt or pressure. Jesus also fights for us. He takes our battles to God and intervenes for us. Jesus stands before the Father pleading our case for us.
But the greatest thing He did was lay down His life for us.
In John 15:13 it says, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” (ESV)
I can’t imagine laying my life down for someone, especially for a bunch of ungrateful people. But Jesus did. He died on the cross so we can have life more abundantly.
That’s where I want to be. In the abundance. Oh, money doesn’t matter. It makes life easier but I want the abundance of God. I want to go higher and farther in my walk with God.
