“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'” (John 14:6 ESV)
“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5 ESV)
I love this song:
“I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold;
I’d rather be His than have riches untold;
I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands.
I’d rather be led by His nail pierced hand Chorus:
Than to be the king of a vast domain
Or be held in sin’s dread sway.
I’d rather have Jesus than anything
This world affords today.”
I would rather have Jesus than riches. Sure riches would make my easier. HA! If I had riches I would have people coming out the woodwork wanting money. And the sad thing is, I am a soft touch. I would give someone my last dollar if they gave me a sob story.
But the day I gave my life over to Jesus was the best day of my life. I am a child of God. I am going to heaven soon. Yes, I said soon. I’m not getting any younger, much to my dismay. But the day will come and Jesus will welcome me home. I will fly away to Glory and live forever in heaven.
That sounds so wonderful. To be in heaven. But that subject is for another day. Jesus is there for us. He prepares the way for us. He comforts us when we are sad or hurting. Jesus loves us. I learned that in Sunday School back in the stone age. Back then we all went as a family. Now days, not so much.
But I learned Jesus loved me. He loves me regardless how I act. If I go off the rails, he is there to help me back on. I have said before I can feel angels near. Sometimes I can see them. It’s just a quick glimpse but I see them. Jesus sends them to us. He sends them to help us, get us back on track. Or for protection. But if you don’t remember anything else. Remember this:
“Jesus loves me this I know,
For the Bible tells me so.”
Have a blessed day.
