God Is My Refuge and Sheltler

by | Apr 16, 2021 | Protection

“Trust on him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is our refuge for us.” (Psalm 62:8 ESV)

“For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.” (Psalm 27:5 ESV)

There’s a song called Run to the Father. Part of it goes, “I run to the Father, again and again.”

There is shelter in God. He will protect you in times of trouble.

Family acting squirrely? Co-worker’s causing trouble? Pet’s biting people? Check engine light on in your car?

There’s an answer to all of these questions. Here are the answers: God, God, pet trainer or a muzzle and a good mechanic.

But seriously, God has the answer before we even have the question. He has a solution to every problem if we will just listen closely. That means to listen. Drop the nonsense. Forget the world, forget what ever other gods you may be following and come back to the one true God. You can’t serve two gods. You have to make a choice. Buddha, Wiccan, back sliddenly Christian or whatever. Come back to the one true God.

He is waiting. He wants you back. His arms are open waiting to catch you and rescue you. All you have to do is ask God for forgiveness. He will forgive you no matter what you have done, said or thought. Yes, it really is that easy. Just repent. Come back to the Father.

“I run to the Father I fall into grace
I’m done with the hiding
No reason to wait
My heart needs a surgeon
My soul needs a friend
So I’ll run to the Father
Again and again
And again and again.”

God is waiting. Please fall into his waiting arms. Pour out your heart to him, ask him for forgiveness. It’s yours for the asking.
