“Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will never pass away.” (Matthew 24:35 NIV)
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'” (John 14:6 ESV)
I love this song, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. That name has incredible power:
“Jesus, Jesus, Jesus; there’s just something about that name.
Master, Savior, Jesus, like the fragrance after the rain;
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, let all Heaven and earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms will all pass away,
But there’s something about that name.”
You know, after all is gone, Jesus remains. When all hope is lost, Jesus is there saying, “Run to me. I will take care of you.” When you are sick or hurt, Jesus is still in the healing business. He hasn’t quit. Finances running low, call on Jesus. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills.
My friend Mary told me one day shortly after her son died, who didn’t have life insurance, “God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He will just have to sell one to pay for the funeral.” Funds came in and the funeral costs were covered. If he did it for her, he will do it for the rest of us. So whatever your needs, wants or desires today, call on Jesus. He will always take your call.
