Lies of the Devil

by | Mar 19, 2021 | Deception, Self-Worth, Value

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 NIV)

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loves us.”
(Romans 8:37 NIV)

Have you ever heard that small voice in the back of your head whisper “you aren’t good enough?”

Or maybe “nobody likes you” or “you’re a failure, rejected or alone?”

The one the devil tries to pull on me is “I’m not important enough.” It used to bother me a lot. I used to let him get in my head. I would listen to his lies and get all upset to the point I was mad for no reason.

I don’t listen anymore. In fact, just yesterday he tried it again. You would think by now he would learn it won’t work anymore. But that’s how he works, he finds a second when you might have let your guard down, then he sneaks in a lie or two. He will try to distract you and get you down. But if you stand strong you will be victorious.

The devil has had a long time to perfect his bag of tricks. But every time he tries something, God will one up him. God will out do the devil every time if you will let him. And for the life of me, I don’t know why you wouldn’t let God out do the devil.

But always remember that no matter what the devil tries to throw your way, the King has one more move. He will out do the devil every time. And we will come out on top.

So if you are having issues or problems and don’t know where to turn, turn to God. He is waiting for you with open arms.
