For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” (Luke 12:12 ESV)
“When the spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)

I have been asked where I get inspiration for these everyday. All I can say is from God. But He sends inspiration in a lot of different ways.

I get a lot of ideas from songs. Some of which I grew up singing and some new ones that have come out recently.

I also get ideas from Facebook. I know, Facebook, right? I have gotten some ideas from there believe or not.

I even got one from a tv show I watch. One of the main guys has Psalm 31 tattooed on his hand. So of course I had to check it out. Then I ended up writing about it.

But it doesn’t matter where or how I get inspiration, God is the one who tells me what to write.

There have been times when I have the whole devotional written before I have scriptures. Or I may have the scriptures but not sure what to say. But then I start and God takes over.

Some are super easy to write and some extremely difficult. The hard ones are the ones I am afraid I will be stepping on toes or hurt someones feelings. I am learning to put my feelings aside and let God have his way. It always works out so much better if I do.

So if you need inspiration today, look to God. Read your Bible. That’s always a great place to start. I suggest you start in Genesis and then keep reading. There are some great lessons in the Bible.
